Special Rigid Polymers

Today’s widely used nylon, plastic, rubber and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) are totally a result of scientists’ studies to produce an artificial material. Plastics, scientifically called as polymers, are being used in many places from offices to houses and from houses to streets.

Lightness of the tools used in military and aerospace fields is crucial. When the electronic circuits and batteries are made of polymers, the weight of these tools is reduced by up to 90 %. For example, a car with an aluminum engine block, rigid plastic parts and electric circuits made of conductive polymers will be very light.

As a matter of fact Rover R-50, BMW in Europe and Chrysler in America began using POLYMER alloys in their engine blocks. With ST.POL (Steel Polyamide) they developed from MCDP and BORON end products, NNT Corp. scientists has just proved that it is possible to produce a material that is more substantial than steel, to substitute active steel parts of the engines which are mostly under impact.

In textiles, loifers (carrier hooks) for Integrated Filatures with RING system have been produced as prototypes by NNT Corp. and they are proved to be 600 % stronger and more durable than actual carrier hooks. Tests in İstanbul have also shown that these consumable materials has reduces below (1/6). After the beginning of CNB and MCDP productions in UŞAK, a ST.POL factory will be established in KIRKLARELİ and extremely stable raw materials will be produces for consumable goods which our country spends million dollars each year.
