The NNT Ar-Ge based in Kırklareli (Turkey) is within the NNT network responsible for research, development and production.

NNT Ar-Ge was founded in 1992 by a group of nanotechnology experts to produce and market their know how in making nano-sized boron compounds and diamond crystals. At that time, nanotechnology was considered science fiction, since microtechnology was still state-of-the-art. The NNT Ar-Ge became in 1992 the first nanotechnology company in Turkey.

When starting investments in nanotechnology, a major goal of NNT Ar-Ge‘s commercial activities was to create economic value out of Turkey’s huge boron resources (64% of the world’s known resources). To do that, NNT Ar-Ge has ever since its foundation focussed on building a world-class research and development team. The company’s laboratories and the abundant R&D budget enable the research team to transfer ideas with high speed to innovative high-tech products. NNT Ar-Ge maintains close relationships to universities and research institutes all over Turkey such as the well-reputed National Boron Research Institute BOREN. NNT Ar-Ge is financially stable and owns a solid infrastructure with R&D and production facilities located all over Turkey.

A first outcome of these R&D activities is the motor oil additive BORPower^®, which NNT Ar-Ge successfully introduced to the Turkish market in 2005.

The worldwide distribution of the product family BORPower^® together with the NNT Nanotechnology AG head-quartered in Berlin, Germany, has started now.
